Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a design and build firm?

No, we work off blueprints prepared by architects or other interior design firms.

Do you do the work yourself?

We are general contractors in the truest sense in that we sub-contract 100% of the work we perform. We draw from a pool of over 100 sub-contractors who have proven themselves professional and trustworthy over the 12 years we have been in business. Every aspect of the project is performed by an expert in that particular field.

Do you warranty your work?

Included in every contract is a 1 year warranty agreement, which commences upon substantial completion of the project.

How long will this project take?

Because there are a large number of variables associated with each specific project this is a question that can only be answered upon review of the architectural drawings. Most additions and extensive renovations can be completed within 6 months while kitchen renovations and basement build-outs are typically completed within 3 months. New construction can typically be completed within a 9 month time frame.

How does payment typically work?

The contract will indicate a stage payout schedule with payments due anywhere from 3 to 10 times during a typical job. A down payment is always required followed by payments at specifically stated points of progress (i.e. completion of rough carpentry or completion of insulation). We are as adept at dealing with payouts through construction loans and a title company as we are with receiving payment directly from the client.

Do you have any references?

We will provide a reference list of 15 to 20 jobs at the time the proposal is presented.

Where do we go for selections?

The company web site offers links to a large number of suppliers with whom we have accounts.
